Uncle Allan!!

My brother, Allan and his friend Jose, set off on a BIG ROAD TRIP ADVENTURE for two weeks!

We were lucky to be their first destination, granted a concert here in San Antonio and a free place to stay was probably the biggest reasons for taking a 23 hour drive to get here.   However I know Allan really wanted to see his nephews. After all Nathan is named after him.

We took them to Rudy's BBQ, played baseball at the park and then let them loose to explore downtown on their longboards.  I've forgotten that teenage life is all about the NIGHT life and then sleeping in half your day. :)

 The baseball team!

 The cutest little pitcher!

Thanks for coming to visit us Allan! We are glad you had the biggest adventure.

Brothers....

... support you during tummy time, and will cry with you.

... always give hugs and want to make you happy.
(One of my favorite pictures)

... love you so much it hurts.

... aren't afraid to get in your face, especially for a nose kiss.

He's 3!!

Tyler is 3 and has been super excited about his birthday!
David took the day off and we got to celebrate Tyler all day long with his favorite things.

Breakfast:  "Mickey Mouse pancakes with chocolate chips, oh and fruit."

His tractor cake!

I had so much fun making this cake, I did have some splitting of cake, but somehow managed to save it. My favorite is the dirt...crushed up Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs cereal.

His great friends whom he L-O-V-E's to play with came for a little party.  The rain kept us from the park but Tyler enjoyed everyone coming to his house.

Tyler is a hoot!  He is growing so fast.  He has an impeccable memory.  Loves to pretend and have someone play with him.  Does EVERYTHING just like Daddy.
His favorite things...

He loves cars, trains, trucks and baseball.  He now has his very own tools just like Daddy too.
Food: blueberries, lasagna, yogurt, clementines, veggies

Candy: "Candy Caps" (Bottle caps)

Books: Harry and Horsie,  CookieBot

Song:  Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam

Common Phrases:
When asked a question..."Hmmm. let me tink aboud it...hmmm"
"Oh dats my fabrite"
"Come with me!"
Blocks a doorway and says "oh its a gate...beep boo beep beep...Carletons are you home?"
* He's the Gate code at a friends neighborhood.

Jobs: putting soap in the dishwasher, unloading silverware, carrying clothes to washer,
 and helping dad "fix" things.

A Happy Birthday Boy!
We love you Tyler.

I'm Missing...

all these Lovely Ladies!

It's been a little over 2 months since I was released and while being home with two darling boys is great, I miss being around such wonderful women on a regular basis. They are all fantastic and I am always tempted to "crash" an activity or dance just to see them. :)

David still works with the Young Men, so not all connection is lost, I do hear about them and can pass messages onto them.  And thank goodness I have plenty of willing babysitters to call on too.  I'm convinced that serving in Young Women's is the BEST calling in the church, but I'm biased.  And I do love my new calling as VT Coordinator, I'm grateful it allows me to be home with my kids.

David and I had a good run for two years, we love the youth!

And 9 Months Later...

We're a family of four!

Brothers meet and it was special to see Tyler love his brother so much.

Nathan Allan Wheat
6 lbs 6 oz
18.5 inches
November 18th

We are loving this "little guy", as Tyler often calls him,  who is "so tiny".  Tyler has loved him from the moment he met him, he brought a little Goofy stuffed animal to give Nathan.  He sang him Happy Birthday, ate many jello cups courtesy of hospital self serve snacks, was gentle and it was a perfect day.

We are home and adjusting to two kids, lack of sleep, and all the help is gone.  (Thanks Grandmas and Grandpa). Life is wonderful.

Egg-citing News brings Thanksgiving Joy!

We are super excited!  I am 13 weeks and this round has been a complete 180 from Tyler.  I haven't been sick just tired. (So maybe its a girl!?)  It is going by fast already and Tyler sometimes thinks he has a baby in his tummy too...."I full, baby tummy".
